The Associate Reference Feeds
What Is RSS?
(Skip this section if you already know all about RSS)
You may have seen little “RSS” buttons around the Internet. If you were wondering what they are…
“RSS” means “Really Simple Syndication.” When you subscribe to a site’s RSS feed, the information from that feed is sent directly to you. No need to visit the website and check for updates all the time.
How do you get started? Easy! There are actually just three steps involved…
Step A
Download and install a free RSS Reader first. This is a special software that reads the RSS feeds…
For Windows, you may use the software RssReader : http://www.rssreader.com
For Mac, you may use the software NetNewsWire : http://ranchero.com/netnewswire/
Step B
Once you’re set up, the next that you have to do…
Right-click (control-click for Mac users) on any RSS button
OR
OR
on a website, blog or news source that interests you.
Then select Copy Shortcut (”Copy Link to Clipboard” for Mac, “Copy Link Location” for Firefox browsers), and paste that URL into your RSS Reader.
And that’s it! You’re subscribed.
Right click on the RSS button below and select “Copy Shortcut” to take the feed to your favorite feed reader or use the content in that feed on your own website like a news feed.
