Advantages and Disadvantages of Private Label Resell Rights

At any given moment in time, there are a number of individuals who are searching the internet in hopes of finding a legitimate money making opportunity. Many of those individuals are at-home parents, others are retired, and some just want to find a better opportunity. If you are interested in making money, in a relatively easy way, you are advised to further examine private label resell rights. It may very well be the opportunity that you have been searching for.

Private label resell rights are typically offered by the product’s creator. Although these individuals may have the time and the knowledge needed to create new products, most do not have the time or the knowledge to sell those products. Instead of selling their own products, many rely on others to do the selling for them. When you obtain the resell rights to a private label product, you are buying the rights to resell that product. These products most commonly include software programs and e-books, but they are not limited to just those products. After the transaction has taken place, you will then be responsible for selling the product. In fact, you will make money from each sale that you successfully process.

If obtaining the private label resell rights to a particular product sounds like an amazing business opportunity, you may be right. However, with all other business opportunities, it is important to remember one thing; not all opportunities work for everyone. This means that although someone you know may be able to turn a profit buying the resell rights to an e-book or a software program, you may not necessarily be able to. Before investing in a private label product, not matter what that product is, you are encouraged to familiarize yourself with the advantages and disadvantages of private label resell rights. This step is important to determining whether or not this business opportunity can help you make money online.

The biggest advantage to private label resell rights is that you get to make money selling a product that you didn’t even create. In some cases, you are even allowed, and maybe even required, to alter the work, but then you can claim it as your own. This means that overnight you literally could become a freelance writer or a software developer.

Another advantage to private label resell rights it the flexibility you will have. Each time you sell the product, which you have acquired the resell rights you, you will make money. The amount of money you make will all depend on how many hours you work. These hours could be as much or as little as you want. In fact, many private label resell buyers are able to make money selling their products with only working a few hours a week.

While there are advantages to obtaining the resell rights to a private label product, there are disadvantages as well. To make money, you must able to find a product that will sell. Unfortunately, too many resell right buyers do not research a product before buying it. Those individuals usually end up losing money because they purchased a product that was poor in quality or one that couldn’t sell. Of course, this disadvantage doesn’t have to be one. You can learn some great tips on how to find and resell products at www.plrtips.com where you can download a 2 hour free audio course on the subject. All you need to do is research each product before agreeing to purchase it. This research should enable to make money, not lose it.

The above mentioned advantages and disadvantage, to buying private label resell rights, are just a few of the many. Despite the fact that there are additional advantages and disadvantages, most people find that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages; thus, making this a profitable business venture.

Step by Step Plan for Marketing or Promoting PLRs

Saturday, December 15th, 2007 | 34 views
by Bobbie McKee

A set of private label rights, whether it’s an e-book or a set of articles, has unlimited untapped potential. There are many creative ways to approach it. Generally, the more creative you become, the stronger your brand will be. For example, one client of mine purchased e-books in bulk and hired a writer to create synopsis’ of these 80-90 page e-books into 30 minute audio format tapes.

Marketing PLR with Multimedia - CD/DVD/MP3s

Recording your private label e-book and repackaging them into audio tutorials, courses, and transcripts is branding genius. Suppose you have a PLR e-book on ‘30 Ways to Seduce Women” written by scientific researchers of pheromones and psychologists. With this, you could *repackage* and *rebrand* the e-book to produce a series of audio tutorials on “The Love Boss (you): Picking Up the Love of your Life,” complete with a fictional character (see Rich Jerk series, one of the best selling e-books ever) and a new voice.

Burning your recorded files onto CDs/DVDs and MP3s is easy with cheap equipment and packaging with software case levels is easy through an office store. A cover could include the front cover of your online e-book complement with a fresh logo. To jumpstart your multimedia campaign, you could introduce a sign up page on your website and offer a free recording with it to build a consistent list of opt-in subscribers.

Ever notice how many sales letter sites have recordings by the site’s owner explaining the new product? You can do it too by adding either 1) an audio sales pitch, 2) an audio version of your PLR content, or 3) a combination of both to your site. For this, you’ll need an MP3 Audio Mixer (available at http://www.acoustica.com/mp3-audio-mixer/) where you could edit your voice during long recordings. If you’re a poor public speaker, there are many freelancers at elance.com that can do the job but the cost may be high.

*Audio recordings create the illusion that your PLR content is booming!*

Hook, Line, and Sinker - the ‘Hook’ and ‘Follow Up’ Explained (Tying it to our “Picking Up the Love of Your Life” example)

Capturing the imagination of potential buyers means hooking them from the very first minute they access your page. A sales letter may do an exceptional job of hyping your PLR product, but might not ‘reel’ them in as much as you would like. Like perfume sprayers at the department store, you have to give potential buyers a taste of your product. *Use a portion of your private label ebook content to lure readers into subscribing to an opt-in list or ezine.*

The best way to do this is to offer a free .PDF file download of the first ten pages of your PLR product on your main page. Add a ‘Table of Contents’ page with a powerful introduction and stop where it gets “interesting.” When the last sentence of your last page urges readers to pass on to the next “How Pheromones can Attract Women” chapter available in the full-version, you’ve “reeled” them in.

“The Follow Up”

Creating a series of 3 follow up emails to market your PLR product and mail to your list 2 days apart with each email focusing on a different value/benefit of the product is one way to market. Instead of asking subscribers to sign up to a weekly ezine, offer a snippet or news on “Love Boss” spread out through 3 emails. One sample email may look like this:

4) Offer a free DVD (or reduced price) with the purchase of an e-book, combine it as a package, or sell it individually.

*Like screenplays and novels, Hollywood and webpreneurs loves a packaged script for maximum marketability and exposure.*

FOLLOW UP EMAILS and AUTORESPONDERS

A series of three follow up emails are great for any PLR content where you can

1) Provide a “message of the day” 2) Promote your PLR product

Here is a list of *Free* Autoresponders to check out:

Easyresponders.com - provides an unlimited number of auto responder messages for PLR enthusiasts. It has customization features, a mailing list feature, and works great for e-mail newsletters. When your potentials request information, here is an automatic response to keep them on their heels.

Freeautobot.com - A customized service known for its interval feature where you preset your emails to be released at a certain time or day of the week. Plus, it has no pesky advertisements like other autoresponder series.

*Autoresponder Direction*

Autoresponder readers may get a kick out of “10 Ways to Make Her Say Yes” theories and philosophies but real news is the key. Your private label product, once a mind numbing e-book retransformed into article series, CDs, and eye catching e-covers, has to generate the buzz needed to keep it afloat. One trick of the trade is to send your autoresponder subscribers to a blog. Blogs are the latest craze and spreading like wildfire. There are multimillion dollar blogs in operation, including Jossip, X17online, and other celebrity hunter sites with a passion. Although we’re not paparazzi reporters, we can attract the same number of visitors. Move traffic to your blog with a message at the top of your autoresponder for maximum effect.

The Power of Social Networking

Social networking sites serve a dual role: to keep friends connected and to market, market, market. With today’s top selling artists creating Myspace pages to keep in touch with fans, they use it as a tool to promote albums, airplay, and expand their networks. A Myspace.com page can direct people to your private label product. Plus, these sites have high Google page ranks which mean your own site rank can propel to the top of the search engines. Be careful: spamming and spreading your links all over the place will have your message ignored.

What Is Private Label Rights Content And How To Use It Effectively

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006 | 22 views

[tag]Private Label Rights Content[/tag] is becoming increasingly popular as people have started realising that Content is King and that high-quality content or information is the most important requirement to popularize a website. An alternative to using Private Label Rights (PLR) Content is that you can have articles written by freelance writers at sites like Elance or Rentacoder, but it, rather, becomes an expensive proposition. For those who are not yet generating a high income through AdSense or affiliate sales, Private Label Rights Content (PLR Content) provides a welcome alternative. This is also called PLC or Private Label Content.

What is Private Label Rights Content?

PLR Content generally refers to articles, manuals, software and e-books that are free for subscribers to use as they wish. A few restrictions apply to these PLR content. You cannot claim copyright to PLR Content, or submit it to article sites (some membership sites allow this!), unless you change the content significantly. What is meant by ’significantly’ is that you need to change more than 50 - 60% of the content so that you cannot equate it to the original article anymore. There are several websites offering PLR Content. The cost of membership varies, but typically ranges from around $24 to $97 a month. For this, you might receive anywhere from 150 to 400 articles per month in various niches. Some sites also offer [tag]e-book covers[/tag], [tag]site header graphics[/tag], complete product like a fully built PLR website, an ebook or a fully functional software with source code and even ready-made sales letters and thank you pages.

To use PLR Content to the best advantage, you need to be aware of a few things. We will discuss PLR content articles here but the same rules apply to other PLR content as well.

  1. How Do You Use PLR Content Articles?
  2. The most common use for PLR Content articles is to provide useful, interesting content for websites. There are other uses, however. Think about your immediate needs. If you require an incentive for people to sign up for your newsletter, you can offer an e-book or training manual made up from PLR Content articles. It’s easy to tweak these to be more relevant to your website and your clients. You need to find out what do your clients or visitors most need to know?

You could also create an e-course (anything from 6 to 52 articles - a short e-course, or one that offers an article for each week of the year). This gives you an excellent reason to stay in touch with your clients on a long term basis. If you make the e-course interesting, then you will have a continuous stream of repeat visitors.

  3. How Should You Alter PLR Content Articles?
  4. Submitting articles to public article directories along with your resource box is a great way to generate traffic to your websites. However, many directories don’t allow you to submit [tag]duplicate content[/tag] - ie, you have to submit your own unique article. Therefore, before submitting an article that you obtained from a Private Label Rights Content resource, it’s advisable to first alter the article in such a way that it is no more recognizable as the original article. Here are a few tips in that regard…

    • Change the article’s Title. If you are using [tag]keyword-optimized articles[/tag], change the title but not the keyword in the title. So if your article is based on the keyword “Car Buying Tips”, your title might be “Mercedes Benz Car Buying Tips” or “Car Buying Tips in Atlanta” and so on.
    • Modify the opening paragraph. All you need to do is make sure that your keyword appears at least once or at most twice. Examine the rest of the paragraph. Find out how to modify a statement but still mean the same thing? Use your Thesaurus liberally and alter the tone or use synonyms. You could consider adopting a more friendly or casual approach while dealing with a topic. You could add to the introduction or you may change it altogether.
    • Work through the body of the article. Use variations to the same word liberally. In other words, use synonyms. Change, add or delete sentences. Present the facts in different orders. Expand the paragraph by adding some new points. be creative and rewrite in your own words. Break a long article into a couple of shorter articles. But, while doing this, please ensure that the shorter articles are complete in itself.
    • Rework on the ending. Create certain actionable points. This will help the readers to decide what to do next after reading the article. Add some of your affiliate links. But, these affiliate links should look as a part of the article. You may write a lead-in to your own product or services.
  5. Blend Multiple Articles Into One
  6. You can give a complete facelift to a Private Lable Rights content article if you take two or more such articles on the same theme and blend them into one longer, better informative article. If an article is not loaded with adequate information, then also you may be required to do this exercise. Use your judgement. The ultimate test is that the readers should love it and they should crave for more of such stuff from you.

  7. Think Over The Box Or Outside the Square
  8. Many of the PLR Content articles are distributed in batches that are relevant to one niche. For instance, during a month, you might receive 30 articles on cell phones, 30 on golf, 30 on travel and 30 on credit cards. Let’s say that you are busy building a travel site. It might seem at first glance that only 30 of the 120 articles are relevant to your needs.

It is not necessarily so! Could any of your golf articles be used to fit the theme of golf vacations? Golf vacations are very popular as a niche subject. And you can also merge communication while you travel? Does the traveller need a new cell phone that will easily adapt to overseas communications? How will the traveller pay for his expenses like hotel during his vacation or business trip? He may need to explore credit card options?

Hope you can understand how this is done. You need to be creative in your use of Private Label Rights Content. This will ensure that you get your money’s worth.

  9. Important Final Tip - Insist on Top Quality!
  10. With Private Label Rights Content becoming popular, several PLR Content sites are being introduced. Do a good analysis of these PLR membership sites. Check out the quality of the articles on offer, and especially the niches being targeted. Niche areas like golf and credit are popular, and that’s exactly what you want. You want to go where there is an *existing* demand. You do NOT want obscure niches where there is little activity. You WANT to go where there is competition and at the same time not too much competition. Too much competition will also require a lot of time before your site will mature and start yielding revenues. Naturally, the profitable niches will always have competition. Where there is competition, there are buyers! So you want to look for demand, look for competition but less, and carve your niche!

Finally, consider becoming a member of at least 4 to 5 good PLR Content sites. I strongly believe that it is worth spending some money on excellent quality, multiple niche PLR content. This will pay you back with more traffic, faster indexing and more revenue through Google Adsense as well as Affiliate commissions.

I am mentioning below a few excellent PLR membership sites. Normally, good quality PLR membership sites accept only limited members. These sites might have closed for any additional membership. Please check them out. A few membership may still be open, if your are lucky.

    1. PLRights - They give two excellent niche PLR products every month. These include ebooks, audio, pre-built websites, articles, sales and thank you pages, etc.
    2. Info Go Round - This is the cheapest of all the PLR sites that I am a member but I would still say that it is the best. Here, you not only get niche article packs every month totalling around 300 - 350 articles but they also have a database of 1000’s of PLR articles from where you can download content as and when you require them. Also, they have Instant [tag]Niche Site Builder[/tag] and Instant [tag]Newsletter Generator[/tag]. Above all else, you can also become an article publisher with them and get paid for writing articles and get your PLR membership practically free.
    3. PLR Pro - This again is an excellent PLR article site. They give you 11 niches with 40 Articles per niche every month. And, all of them are keyword optimized and very well written.
    4. Article Underground - Every month, you receive 400 keyword optimized very well written articles on different niches.
