Top 100 Affiliate Marketing Programs section in my blog is now sporting a look. Of course, the development of this section is still in progress. Please have a look and share your thoughts on this new look section.

Till now, the Top 100 Affiliate Marketing Programs was a single page mini-site. Even though, this page has been one of the most popular area in my blog, I was not very happy with the layout and design. It was also uncategorized and all the different affiliate programs were quite jumbled up. This single page mini-site which links to my blog was actually a static website and the html was created using a normal text editor.

I felt the need to redesign this for quite some time. Finally, I have started the exercise of redesigning this important section of my blog.

You might already know that xSitePro released version 2 of their most popular software on 20-May-2008. I have already been a user of their version 1, and I have always loved this software. So, within a few minutes of the version 2 release, I grabbed a copy. Incidentally, if you purchase xSitePro v2 within 30 days of its release, you can avail of a massive bonus of $30.

OK, why did I bring up the topic of xSitePro? Since I had purchased the new version, I wanted to try the software and understand all its new features. So, I decided to redevelop Top 100 Affiliate Marketing Programs section from the ground up using xSitePro. And, I wanted to develop this section into a decent, even though, small website. I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to develop this site into a 40+ pages website in under three hours and, that too, totally from scratch. I am terribly impressed with this software and all its features.

Of course, the Top 100 Affiliate Marketing Programs section is still under development. I have opened it up to my dear visitors so that I can get some first hand feedback about this new look section, ease of use and how I can improve it further. Please use the comments in this post to share your views, reviews and rebukes.

ClickBank is the most popular and reputed Affiliate Powered E-Commerce Portal. Any affiliate marketing effort would naturally start from ClickBank. We will discuss, in brief, how to effectively use ClickBank for your affiliate marketing business.

Click Bank can be used in many different ways to help benefit your affiliate marketing business. For example, ClickBank can be used to help you figure out what kind of product to sell. It can also be used to determine the popularity of any product. It can even be used to build your customer contact list. Click Bank has become the number one source for all affiliate marketers.

What is ClickBank? It is something of a clearinghouse. It is a huge website geared directly towards vendors and affiliates on the internet. People from all different kinds of businesses use ClickBank for order processing and so much more. However, while order processing is a big part of using Click Bank, so is the research you could be doing on the site as well. Clickbank has a network of more than 10,000 various products.

That is, of course, what makes Click bank so reliable. It has a network of thousands of products and makes for great representation of the overall market on the internet. Of course, ClickBank is also great for building your email list. Email lists are absolutely necessary for any business owner, including those that are involved in affiliate marketing.

With this list, you can let your former or current buyers know about new products, great deals, excellent specials, or even exciting news that you may have about your business or company. When a customer purchases from you, using ClickBank, you can ask for permission to contact them about news, specials and deals. With ClickBank, you can then extract this information out of the database and store it in your own, filling it with your new email list.

However, make sure that you have expressed or at the very least, digitally implied permission of any person before you start emailing them for any reason. If you do not have permission, you could be opening the door for lawsuits, fines, or a number of other negative aspects that you definitely do not want to put on your business. Aweber is the best auto responder for this purpose to safely and legally email your contacts.

You can make a good starting point by reading the ebook Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate by Chris Rempel.

Why should you choose Affiliate Marketing as a career. We shall discuss various benefits of affiliate marketing which will reinforce the reasons for you to choose it as a viable long term business model.

Why should you consider affiliate marketing over other types of business ventures? Well, it is really very simple. There are many benefits of affiliate marketing that you might not even be aware of. In this article, we will discuss these different benefits and give you the best possible information, allowing you to choose which business venture is best for you, affiliate marketing or another avenue of business.

Benefit #1 – The Product Already Exists

One of the greatest benefits of affiliate marketing is that you do not have to worry about making your own product. You do not have to worry about conducting research, determining the target audience, or even creating the product. With affiliate marketing, the product already exists. They have done all the work for you, all you have to do is do the pre-selling. Then again, you do not have to do the selling either, it really depends on what type of affiliate marketing program you choose to join.

Benefit #2 – Work From Home

Affiliate marketing is a great way to start your work-from-home venture. This is ideal for those who are trying to determine if working from home is the path for them. If you join with an affiliate marketing company, you have the opportunity to “test the waters” and find out if working from home is for you. At the same time, even if you should decide that it is for you, you can keep going on this path for the same reasons as listed in benefit number one.

Benefit #3 – You Choose How Hard You Work

Because there are so many different affiliate marketing opportunities available on the internet, you have the luxury of choosing just how hard you are willing to work. You have the ability to choose to sell actual products or you can choose an opportunity in which all you have to do is get the potential customer to the company and let them do the rest. You can choose to work as little or as much as you want and that is one thing that makes affiliate marketing such an appealing opportunity.

Benefit #4 – The Hardest Parts Are Already Done For You

While many people believe the actual selling or getting the traffic to a website is the hardest part of a business, in actuality the hardest part of any business is doing the research, the marketing, and finding out what works best. When you join any affiliate marketing company, they will have already done this work for you. The only thing you have to worry about is getting the customers and selling the products or luring them to the opportunity, what ever type of company you are choosing to go with.

Now, in this area it is important to understand that just because they have done the hard work for you does not mean it works. Before joining affiliate marketing programs be sure that they have a tested, tried, and true method of marketing.

Benefit #5 – Get The Tools You Need

Although there are many benefits of affiliate marketing, this is the last one we are going to discuss in this article. Most affiliate marketing companies provide you with a host of helpful tools that can help you get the job done. They have a range of tools such as:

Banner Advertisements

Text Advertisements

Affiliate Tracking

Backend Offices

Email Templates

And so much more

The only thing you have to do is put these tools to work for you and your affiliate marketing business.

As you can see there are many benefits of affiliate marketing. Because there are so many benefits many people are joining the affiliate marketing bandwagon each and every day. No one but yourself can determine if this path is the right one for you. You must weigh both the advantages and disadvantages and determine which path is the right one for you and your life.

In a subsequent article, I will discuss the absolute essential tools and techniques that are required to start and succeed with an affiliate marketing business model.

ShareThis

Affiliate Marketing is the most promising and lucrative business model on the internet. There are millions of affiliate marketers but there is more than adequate money for everyone out there. This article is an eye opener for a person considering this line of business.

Affiliate marketing is one of the biggest markets on the internet today. More so than any other type of business, people are hanging up their traditional nine to five jobs and joining the internet bandwagon. People are looking to make money working from home and affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to get started in this industry. It provides you with so many benefits, that it almost hard to say no to.

In fact, many people are using affiliate marketing as an additional source of income as well, which means they are still keeping their traditional career, but including affiliate marketing in their business affairs. So, is affiliate marketing boon or bane? Well, the answer to that question really depends on several different elements.

First, it will depend on who you talk to. Some people are firm believers in the affiliate marketing world and others have not had the greatest experiences. Both sides of the fence will have their own story, their own reasons, and their own ideas about affiliate marketing. While who you talk to is important, what company you join is even more important because this can literally make or break your personal affiliate marketing experience.

When you join any affiliate marketing company, you are joining with the high hopes of becoming a success. If you do not experience this success, you will instantly start to think negative things about the industry. However, you need to understand that many different elements play into a successful affiliate marketer.

First, the product you have to offer. It must be a high quality and in-demand product. If it is neither one, you will definitely have problems finding success with that company. You want to actually test the product yourself and ensure that it is something that you yourself would use. If you do not believe in what you are offering how on earth can you expect someone else to believe in it and buy it.

Second, the guarantee and integrity of the company. No one will want to purchase from a company that does not offer a solid guarantee on their products or services. Furthermore, if the company has been clouded with negativity and suspicion, you can be sure that many of your potential customers have probably heard about it, therefore, they too will likely avoid buying from the company.

Be sure that you fully research the company, its guarantee, and its background completely before you decide to join any company as an affiliate. You also want to be sure that the company provides you with the necessary tools for you to advertise. These tools might include banners, text ads, sales copy, email templates and so on. If they do not provide you with any tools, it means they are likely not that concerned with your success.

Finally, the amount of work you put into your affiliate marketing business will determine its success or failure. If you join a company and really make no effort in promotion or advertisement then you really cannot expect to find success or the money to start rolling in. You really need to take steps to ensure that you are doing everything you can in the area of advertisements. Whether you have a website or not, USFreeAds is an excellent platform where you can advertise for your affiliate marketing products and get results fast.

This also means improving your website as needed, posting on blogs, posting in forums, marketing to anyone and everyone, or even taking advantage of pay per click or pay per impression advertisements. Affiliate marketing is really what you make of it. If you really put a great deal of work into your business, you will likely find success. If you fail to put your efforts into the business, you really cannot expect to find any type of success.

If you wish quick results with your affiliate marketing efforts, then you need to join ClickBank, the Number One e-products portal. Also, you must seriouly consider joining Authority Site Center which will help you to kickstart your affiliate marketing business through the blogging platform.

Affiliate marketing efforts get a major boost when you are using article submission websites. Not only is there scope for an increase in traffic but also in affiliate revenues. Learn more about it in this article.

There are many affiliate marketing techniques that an individual can use in order to become successful in the affiliate marketing program. One of the most popular methods of affiliate marketing is through the use of article submission websites.

There are numerous reasons why article submission has grown to be a popular advertising method for internet marketers. The main reason is that it develops and builds the credibility of the marketer.

If you are a marketer, it is important to ensure that you are viewed as an expert in the field that you represent. The knowledge and expertise that you present in your articles will allow others to respect you. If they see that you are very knowledgeable in your field, then they will learn that you are a reliable source of information.

Maintaining the reputation of being a reliable source of information as an affiliate marketer will automatically boost your success. People who are interested in your program will establish a high level of faith in the effectiveness of that program. In turn, you will benefit from new affiliate sign ups.

When you submit articles to an article submission website which details information related to your affiliate program, you are viewed as a credible individual. With so many scams glittering the internet when it comes to various affiliate programs, it is extremely beneficial for you to be deemed credible in order to achieve success.

When implementing the use of article submission websites for the purpose of affiliate marketing, you will increase your rankings in all major search engines. This includes Google, Yahoo, Lycos, Ask.com, and Netscape. Furthermore, it will increase the rank of your blog and/or website that promotes your affiliate marketing program.

There are many article submission websites that you can use on the internet. One of the most popular websites is called Associated Content. Not only can you submit articles to this website to promote your affiliate program, but you can also be paid for your submissions, and earn a performance bonus each month based on the page views that you receive.

Associated Content will pay you for exclusive content, and content that is not considered to be exclusive. Exclusive content means that you created the article that you submit and that it has not been published anywhere else. It also means that you will not publish it anywhere else in the future. You will be offered more on exclusive content.

If you submit non-exclusive content to Associated Content, it means that you created the article. It also means that you have either published this somewhere previous to submitting it or that you have the right to do this after publishing. You will generally be paid less for these submissions.

The outstanding thing about submitting articles to Associated Content to promote your affiliate marketing program is that you will immediately be logged into a network that consists of millions of active users. This increases the opportunity for you to see an increase in traffic to your blog and/or website.

Associated Content is ideal for the internet marketer that wishes to compose articles to promote their affiliate program. This is mainly because you can choose which topics to write about when it comes to your promotional articles. Furthermore, you can hyperlink the text within the articles to go directly to your website and/or blog. You may also list your website as a resource.

Not only does this help to drive traffic to your website, but by linking your affiliate program to a popular website on the internet, and an article with relevant content, your blog and/or website will increase in the rank of major search engines on the internet.

Many affiliate marketers also implement the use of popular article submission websites like eHow to promote their content and expose their affiliate marketing program. This website also offers a small residual income on article submissions.

With eHow.com, an affiliate marketer may compose a number of “how to” articles that pertain to affiliate programs, affiliate marketing, internet marketing, advertising strategies, and more. The marketer may then add a link to their website and/or blog as a resource article.

To be truly successful, this affiliate marketer can also link any and all articles related to this type of internet business from the submitted articles at Associated Content. This will produce greater results in traffic, and increase the page views at Associated Content. Therefore, increasing the performance bonus that one will receive at Associated Content.

The article submission website of eHow hosts millions of visitors on a daily basis. The income that one can earn on submissions is generally less than that of Associated Content, but the popularity of this website is growing more and more popular with each passing day.

There are many article submission directories that an affiliate marketer can use in order to submit information regarding their affiliate marketing program to. By implementing the use of these very popular directories, one is sure to find that their program receives a high ranking.

Submitting articles for an affiliate marketing program will help to save an internet marketer a lot of money as far as advertising costs is concerned. Many places that allow articles to be submitted are free, and as mentioned above, numerous websites even offer cash for the articles that are created.

To maximize the potential of your articles, it is very important to promote the content. This will help to increase the page views that you receive. In addition to this, it helps increase the potential of targeted traffic to your blog and/or website.

There are many places where you can promote articles that are related to your affiliate marketing program. One of the best places is on the internet. You can promote your content by the use of forums.

Many of the article submission websites that you can use to submit your articles will have a community forum. You can easily advertise your content on these forums. Furthermore, you can create signatures that link directly to your affiliate program.

As you can see, affiliate marketing through the use of article submission websites can prove to be extremely beneficial. By implementing this marketing strategy you will find that your affiliate marketing program receives the traffic and signups that will lead to your ultimate success!

Anyone interested in staying at home while making extra money, should consider stepping into the affiliate marketing arena. Becoming an affiliate marketer has many benefits that should not be overlooked. A business of this nature is extremely beneficial and at the top of the list.

The cost of going into business for yourself must always be considered. No matter what kind of business you choose, there will be some money involved. Who ever said that being financially independent is free? You will probably find that affiliate marketing is perhaps one of the most cost effective ways to start a business as most of the work is already done for you. Affiliate marketing is very simple and also fun to do.

Perhaps the most cost effective way to go is to buy resale rights to informational ebooks. These ebooks can be downloaded over and over again, thus saving you the cost of shipping. Also, you will get to set your own price and the whole amount will be pure profit for you. People are hungry for information and will pay for your ebook without too much thought if you have presented it in such a way as to hold their interest.

You must keep in mind that a business can not run by itself. If a business is to prosper, it will take lots of hard work and one must be very dedicated to be able to do this. Affiliate marketing is very simple and business but it cannot run by itself.

In order to be successful in affiliate marketing, you need to be sure you do some research. If people are not looking for your particular product or information, then you should not get involved with that program. There are many to choose from.

There are many ways to get your affiliate website in circulation. If you don’t have the means to pay for advertising, then you will need to work hard to get your advertising for free. There are many different ways you can get your advertising for free. As an affiliate marketer, you will want to make good use of the internet to do your marketing.

The internet is an excellent way to market, as you can reach thousands of potential buyers with just the click of a button. You do not want to forget other ways such as, newspaper ads, flyers and business cards, which are all very inexpensive ways of marketing.

When you run your own affiliate business on the internet, you will have so many choices when it comes to how you want to market it. Some common internet marketing methods include search engine pay-per-click advertising. It is also very beneficial and common to publish articles that other people can use as good content on their websites. If these two techniques are used correctly, it may be all that you need to create a very profitable affiliate marketing business.

Even though there are many other marketing techniques, these will bring the most attention to your affiliate site in the shortest amount of time. Writing articles for informational sites, such as databases and newsletters is a good way to begin. When you write an article pertaining to things found on your affiliate site, you will be able to include your affiliate URL so people can find you. Your URL will be published many places because article databases permit people to use your content on other websites. This is indeed an inexpensive way to reach millions in your target market.

by Eleanor Phyllese

Affiliate marketing is making it possible for virtually anyone to come online and make money with little or no money of their own. You do not need to create your own product or service so it simply comes down to being able to generate sales. Learning how to sell online can be a great challenge for many people.

Unfortunately most affiliate marketers try one or two approaches to sell and they usually fail and then quit. Do not be part of this group. You must learn from your mistakes because people that are making big money online do things very similarly and people that do not make much money also do things very similarly. Sometimes it can take a bit of time and a few failures before you figure out the game of internet marketing.

Most people want to make money online and they want to do it overnight without any effort. The problem is that this lure of trying to make quick money causes you to use strategies that are simply not effective. An example of this is throwing up a google adwords ad with a direct link to an affiliate page and then targeting any general related keywords. This strategy rarely works and can cost you a lot of money very quickly.

Remember that most people look at the internet as a free information resource and not a shopping mall. They do not make searches on their computer with the intent to buy something. Certainly there are a few searchers that do have clear intentions to buy so if you do want to target these then make sure to only bid on keywords that have the term ‘buy’ in it. However this is a small percentage, it appears that most people buy things online by being referred from sites they trust.

The kinds of sites people like and trust are simply those that help them and offer them either free information or a free service. For instance article directories can be great for selling products because people will read an article, feel like they have done some research and then maybe they may switch into buying mode when they encounter your links at the bottom of the article which means your conversion rates will be much higher.

This is why creating content rich sites is very important because you must be able to keep the visitor on your site long enough for them to potentially switch into buying mode before they click on your affiliate links. People buy based on emotion and not logic and most people will not purchase something unless they feel that they have done some research on the subject. If your site can offer the research information then people will be much more likely to buy after they click on your links.

Make sure you create a content rich site related to your niche and add your affiliate links either to the side or the bottom of your articles. Also try to make sure your articles are unique and written by you as search engines are becoming more strict with duplicate content. You can use adwords to promote your site but also be sure to use article marketing too as it can be very effective at driving free traffic from both the article directories and also the search engines as your sites ranking increases due to increased link popularity.

Also make it a point to learn about search engine optimization. The biggest key to getting high rankings with the search engines is to create good quality unique sites that offer free useful content for its visitors. Ask yourself whether or not you would find your site useful if you were a visitor. Always try to give your visitors the best possible experience as this is also the goal of the major search engines too. You can do reciprocal linking or article marketing to help increase the visibility of your site on the internet as this is also important to better rankings. Build a site and do it well and in time you are sure to find affiliate marketing success.

Should you use a “squeeze page” on your website, or have these pages lost their effectiveness?

The “squeeze page”, or “forced opt-in”, offers a bribe (often a report, audio, or video) in exchange for the visitor’s contact information (most notably their email address).

This technique still works like magic — as long as you do it carefully, and offer a “bribe” that is truly appealing and valuable to your visitors.

Considerations you should take into account…

You know it’s important to grow your e-mail list. The bigger the list, the more people will see your offers, and the more money you will make.

The challenge in today’s internet marketing world is it’s harder than ever to convince people to opt in. A squeeze page is probably the best list building tool available, but you must be careful. Using a squeeze page the wrong way can hurt your business more than it helps.

It’s best to use a squeeze page on a site that is built to sell one product. For example, if you have a site that features a sales letter selling a particular product or service, placing a squeeze page in front of the information about that product or service is a good idea. This keeps readers from being distracted; it sifts and sorts potential buyers by level of seriousness; and it gives you a list of interested parties that you can go back and market to repeatedly.

The worst thing you can do it use a squeeze page in front of the wrong kind of site.

Don’t put a squeeze page in front of your portal site, your branding site, or your blog. Putting a squeeze page in front of those kinds of sites does not make sense. Those sites have a very different purpose than sites that are intended to sell one targeted product or promotion.

Just keep in mind that your squeeze page is a barrier to what is behind it.

For direct response sites, it’s a valuable tool; used on other kinds of sites it may simply be a turn-off to your customers.

When you’re marketing to a targeted audience, and offering strong “ethical bribe” such as a video, audio recording, or special report, your squeeze page can be a valuable list-building tool.

The growing problems of spam, viruses and spyware have made people more reluctant than ever to give up their name and e-mail address.

The bottom line: squeeze pages work. I use them, and I think you should do. The key is to use them in the right situations.

Believe it can be done - How is anyone going to take you seriously about your business if you don’t? There have been many people who had started home businesses online that were so close to being a success when they gave up and decided to do something else. You have to believe that you can become successful in bringing in income from home before it can come to you.

Work to build your business online income from home without sharing until you have made some money. THEN share your success. Keep it a secret - This may sound a little harsh, but there are a lot of dream stealers out there. The typical scenario is that you think you have found the perfect avenue to start your new business home income online opportunity. You are excited and go and tell everyone what you are planning to do, only to find that not everyone is excited as you. You hear things like “That won’t work because” or “Are you sure you want to do THAT?!” Don’t let anyone steal your dream.

It may sound cliche but it is true. In fact, the more that you learn, the more you will realize that you need to learn so much more. Do online searches for business opportunities, go to the library, purchase books that teach you “how to” in whatever field of interest you have of building this business. Read and research - Knowledge is power.

Find a place where others are doing it and showing others how - Find the RIGHT support group. After searching and reading, you will hit information overload and become overwhelmed. It has happened to all of us who have ventured into this area. And you realize that you need help. Sometimes it may just be suggestions. Sometimes it is more detailed. But it won’t be something you can ask your friends. So you will need to find some comrades to help you who have been where you are and can offer smart guidance as to what your next move should be.

You get hung up on tweaking and doing more research, reading and finding another program that excites you, then another, then another. What happens is that we get stuck on finding all these great programs, and never actually putting one into practice. There comes a point where you just have to pick something and do it. Follow through - It is easy to get stuck in the “Paralysis of Analysis” as we like to call it.

You may start out with a pay-per-click campaign, but now need to add some blogging to the mix. To really make this work and bring in the bucks, your mind is always working on ways to bring more people to your site, and encourage them to make a purchase. Take it up a notch - Once you have finally decided which way to go with building a high income home business online, and put it into action, then is time to branch out to other income streams.

Do the time - Bottom line here, is that it takes time to build a successful home based income. Anyone who tells you that you can make money quick isn’t quite telling the truth. Sure, I know of ways that I can make quick money. But what they don’t tell you is what you have to SPEND to get quick money. You will either spend cash, or time to make a profit. Since most of us don’t have the cash needed, then doing the time is the best way to bring in the profits.

We are all hoping and wishing for better things in life, whether we are tired of the same old thing day after day or we are ready to be our own boss. If you are one of the thousands of people who wish they could start their own business and fire their boss, then learning how to make money on the internet may be the answer for you.

The great thing about the internet is that you can take your skills and turn them into profit. For example, do you have graphic design or artistry skills? If so, you might find you are able to make money on the internet doing graphic or web design. Do you like to sew or make crafts? If so, you may be able to sell your crafts or sewing items on the internet for a profit. Are you good at marketing? You could market other people’s products for an income as well.

There are a lot of avenues you can take when it comes to learning how to make money on the internet. The key to success is making sure you know what you are doing and how to do it. Simply having a skill is not enough. This is the internet we are talking about here, literally millions of websites exist and you are going to have some competition, regardless of what you are offering.

To make money on the internet, you have to not only have a product or service, but you also have to have the ability to market those products and services to the internet world. This takes a website, advertisement, and several other aspects to really get the ball rolling. Therefore, it will take some research and homework before you can truly get started.

Many people choose to supplement their current income with the internet. However, many people are taking steps to become their own boss and create their own business, essentially to make money on the internet solely. Your success will depend on numerous things. Some of these things include the product or service you offer, the market for those products and services, your website and its design, your website content, and the amount of time and energy you invest into your business.

It is not something that is going to be quick or immediately. If you are looking to make money on the internet, it is going to take some hard work and commitment. You have to be able to compete with others doing the same thing and find success.
