Think about this: What’s the most common reason people get online each and every day? You probably already guessed that it’s to find information. Google alone serves up 400 million searches per day! Why should you care? It means that you have a massive opportunity to give people exactly what they’re looking for – information. And if you do it right . . . to make some money along the way.

Info marketing 101

First, understand that this is the simplest kind of business there is. You take information and turn it into a digital product – like an ebook. And then sell it to people who want to learn the info in it. Pretty simple, wouldn’t you say?

How do you make it work?

We’ve established that it’s a simple concept. However, to succeed people need to want the information you’re providing. So you’ll need to find out what info is valuable. How can you find out what people want?

One easy way to figure it out is with a simple search. Just go to Yahoo! answers or ask.com and see what kinds of questions people are asking. Your goal is to find a common problem. That people are having trouble solving. And solve the problem for them by writing an info product on it.

An encouraging word

Don’t worry! Info product creation is easy… Put it this way: An ebook is nothing more than a collection of articles. Don’t try to write a whole ebook. Focus on one article at a time. And when you’ve got a few finished, expand and embellish them and voila! You’ve got an ebook.

So, what’s so great about ebooks? Interestingly enough, we’re back to the name of this article How about 7 reasons why:

1. Ease

Once it’s built it runs pretty much on it’s own. Custom support is all but non-existent. So you can just set it up and let it run. It really is like and automatic money machine.

You don’t have any inventory. You never have to deal with shipping. It’s all delivered online.

2. Product combos

Once you have a few info products created. You can combine them together to create new high ticket products. It’s nothing to combine the content from several ebooks. Then you can sell it for a lot more. There’s greater perceived value in a single big course. Versus multiple smaller ones.

3. Private label right

When you own the product, you can sell resell rights to it. This is a very popular topic right now, because people just don’t want to invest the time and money into making their own. And what’s more you can charge double, even triple your selling price for resell rights!

4. Leverage

Leverage your ebook by using the content in different ways. Use part of it to make an autoresponder series. And build your list with it. A list is it’s own reward!

5. More leverage

You can also take parts of your ebook and turn it into smaller eBooks. Then use these to generate leads for the main product. They can be free or low prices. And you’re creating targeted leads for your main product all along. And if you’re really clever, you’ll let your affiliate use these reports as marketing tools. Which brings us to…

6. An affiliate army

This is one of the biggest reasons of all. If you’ve got products you own. You’re able to let other people market it for you. Imagine having 100′s or 1000′s of other people promoting your products. You’ve got to have your own products to have affiliates.

7. JVs

Last, but definitely not least… Joint ventures are the biggest short cut to success known to man. And this is probably the number one reason to create your own product. Because if you don’t have you own product, you’ve got nothing to JV.

Summing it up

If you’re not convinced to start selling information products, then you’ve probably been sleeping. With your own info product you can write your own ticket. Because it’s your business and you control it. So just get started:

  • Head over to Yahoo! answers
  • Find out what people need to know
  • Write about the answers

The steps on how to write an ebook are really that easy. And in no time you’ll have an info product ready to go.

Really interesting article on creating information product creation for web users. If you wish to sell your ebook or info pack I would suggest creating a PPC Search Marketing campaign will long tail keywords based around the user question you found Yahoo! answers and ask.com. Long tail keywords are cheaper and more relevant which will maximize your ROI. Hope this helps!
