Blogs Versus Static Websites

In the individual entry

Online shopping, getting information, and just staying connected to a lot of people are now possible with just one click of a finger.

There also came the blogs and the static websites which becomes more and more popular nowadays especially for those people who stay online virtually their whole waking moment.

These blogs and static websites also become another form of medium where people could promote their product, write or share, with other people, their day-to-day life, and sometimes, unthinkable things that they post on these blogs or static websites.

What Are They?

There is a big difference when it comes to blogs versus static websites and one of the biggest differences is that you need to join a group or organization like www.youtube.com or www.friendster.com, www.myspace.com, or even www.livejournal.com to post your blog or video or anything that you may want to include in your space. On the other hand, you need not join any of these online organizations or social network when you want to create your static website on the internet and you could buy a domain or just search for some websites that could help you setup your own.

Popular early blogs are including Scripting News, Robot Wisdom, and Camworld, and they all started in the year of 1997. But right now, blogs are considered to be diaries of people who consider themselves to be diarists or journalists where they put all their insights of things or anything they want on the internet.

Also, when you come to think of it, blogs and static websites really does not have that much difference since you could put virtually anything that you want on your page. The only difference however is that when it comes to static websites, you really are the sole owner of the page that you have on the internet and if you want, you could also create links that would make you an affiliate of other people’s businesses and earn extra money. Whereas when you are just a member of a website that lets you post your blogs, they are the ones who are benefitting of their ownership thus, making them the affiliate commissions.

But, nowadays, you can register an independent domains and create blogs using software like Wordpress. Wordpress is the most popular Content Management System (CMS) which is used by millions upon millions of bloggers worldwide.

A much better blogging system that uses wordpress as the base is Authority Site Center. It is a technologically advanced system which is Web 2.0 compliant and which helps in exponentially increasing targeted visitors to your blog in a very short span of time.

When it comes to static websites, there is nothing better than Ken Evoy’s Site Build It. SBI is not just a web hosting plan but a whole content brain storming, publishing, marketing and monetization system which ensures high search engine visibility and ranking in a very short time.

So when it comes to blogs versus static websites, the difference is primarily in the way your website is promoted. The only question is, how much money are you willing to shed? Would you go for something free or would you choose to capitalize on your domain to be an affiliate?
