The advantage with PPL model is that it pays much more than Pay-per-Click (PPC) and the effort involved in promoting Pay-per-Lead is much less than Pay-per-Sale. The reason is, in PPL, you do not ask a person to purchase anything but he/she needs to take some tangible action other than purchasing. For example, the visitor may need to fill up a form, sign up for a newsletter or opt-in list, take a poll or fill out a survey, join a free program, etc. Since, everything is free, the conversion rate for PPL is usually much higher than PPS.
